Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

UPDATE: Broccoli supplies are tightening up in Salinas. Overall lighter supplies are driven by lower yields caused by quality issues. Fields are showing pin rot, yellow bead, hollow core, and decay reducing production. The bulk of these quality issues are visible at harvest, and harvesters are leaving affected heads behind. Mexico is in better shape on quality and supplies.

Expectations:

Tighter supplies the next couple of weeks in Salinas.

Processors are watching numbers during this time and will be cutting back broccoli floret orders.
