Dear Ole Tyme Customers:
Weather Alert: Hurricane Lidia
Hurricane Lidia has formed into a hurricane off the Pacific Ocean and is expected to make landfall late tonight. Lidia is expected to produce four to eight inches of rain and in some areas up 12 inches through Wednesday across the state of Nayarit, southern portions of the state of Sinaloa and coastal portions of the state of Jalisco in western Mexico.
- Main growing regions of Sonora and Sinaloa are expected to be spared from direct impact, however southern parts of Culiacan, Sinaloa may be affected
- Tomato plantings are in the ground however replanting may be necessary which can delay the start of the season
- Heavy rains and wind can further interrupt the supply chain potentially affecting labor and transportation in West and Central Mexico
If you have any questions, please reach out to your Sales Representative.
Thanks,
