Dear Ole Tyme Customers:
Squash supplies have tightened, causing market prices to rise. Cold weather has reduced yields as both coasts shift to southern growing regions.
East:
- Georgia's season is ending.
- Florida's production is increasing to meet stronger demand, but supply remains light.
- Cooler temperatures and rain in Florida’s forecast will slow production through next week.
West:
- California's season has finished.
- Sonora is experiencing cold temperatures, and as the season moves south to Sinaloa, supplies remain limited.
- Sinaloa's harvest has started, but significant volume is not expected until the first week of December.
Expectation: Market prices are expected to remain elevated for the next two weeks.
