Dear Ole Tyme Produce Customers:

UPDATE: CA Melon shippers are still experiencing bloom drop and this is impacting the overall availability/sizing of the fruit. Honeydews are heavily impacted.

Expectations:

Cantaloupe demand has increased due to retail ads
Honeydew supplies will remain tight due to the bloom drop.
- There is a gap on Honeydew 8s
- Loading dates may change to accommodate availability
Suppliers may need to sub into outside labels and to fulfill orders.
Suppliers will hold to 6-week averages and contract commitments
Fall Melon contracts are available in CMS.
