Dear Ole Tyme Produce Customers:

Imported Chilean kiwi are hitting a small gap between the storage crop and the controlled atmosphere crop. The first containers of CA fruit won’t arrive in LA until late next week. There are still sufficient amounts of storage fruit for normal business but the decrease in volume has caused the market to spike. Expect this market to stay firm until California’s domestic crop starts in mid October.

  • Week long gap between storage and controlled atmosphere.
  • Supplies still sufficient for normal business at higher pricing.
  • Market will stay at higher pricing until new crop California.
  • Domestic California crop to start mid October.

If you have any additional questions, please reach out to your Sales Representative or our Customer Service team.

Thank you,

Ole Tyme Produce
