Dear Ole Tyme Produce Customers:

We are expecting rain and cold temperatures in California and Baja Saturday through Friday of next week with only intermittent drying out periods on Wednesday and Thursday. The heaviest precipitation will be on Sunday when we are seeing forecasts of up to 7”. We do expect these storms to severely affect strawberry availability during this timeframe. Please see the forecasts below. We strongly advise trying to shift your berry loading to Florida or Texas if at all possible.

  • We expect fill rates and pushes to our orders throughout the week on the West Coast.
  • Growers will be battling residual water related issues over the next 2 weeks.
